Just in Case Closet—Lowcountry Orphan Relief—This was from last year, but due to schedules it is being implemented this year.
-Set up in the cafeteria, waiting on locks
-Clothing provided—4T-14/16, pants, socks, underwear, shirts, toothbrushes, etc.
-Emergency use only
-Emergency bags for immediate needs (fire, relocation, displacement, etc.)

Highlights of the ByLaws-SIC is part of the “school renewal plan” SIC can help with implementation of the school plan. We must have 3 parents, 3 elected teachers, 3 members from the community appointed by the principal, the principal and 2 ex-officio members.

JSL and Lyons Club both have community members that would fit well.

ByLaws can be updated if needed. Vote on ByLaws was approved

We have 3 nominations Alden, Brittiany and Letitia.

We can have a co-chair, Alden and Brittiany, with Letitia being the secretary.

Vote on Nominations was approved.

We can see if KES has any funds to help with food, We can take donations.

Review Agenda for October 29

Thinking ahead we can work on the “Parent Power Hour”-set up dates/times for each grade level. We have booklets or something made to give parents for resources, Food cannot be bought. Items must be educational. Next meeting October 29^th. Look into relocating the Blessing Box for the road widening of Old Orangeburg in the future. We can talk with some local businesses to see if they can donate and help with rebuilding the box at a new location.

 Meyers shared the pamphlet with the team and Alden shared his slide show.

We will resend the survey out in it’s own power school message. Meyers made a pamphlet and shared with the team. Alden made a slide show and also shared it with the team. Our first Power Hour will be January 13^th 6:30-7:30 (second Tuesday of the month and do a survey about what time works best for families) the theme will be “Honor Me, Honor You”

We can supply some parent resources (flyers, books, flashcards). We will also invite Mrs. Bohler from the parent engagement center.

Finalize recourses that we are going to share. Decide on a time for Power Hour.

We have used the just in case closet for 3 students so far, they all received a very nice bag full of stuff. Danielle is getting stuff together for another student.

Getting Champs closet set up to utilize. Donations for items for this closet are welcome (gently used items)
