Just in case closet – Lowcountry Orphan Relief Project.

Donations collected and sorted – emergency packs for students available through LOR. Just In Case Closets only available to Title I schools.

Ages 5 and up… organization will come set it up and supply materials

We need to provide a locked space that can only be accessed by school adults.

Permission forms will be sent to families who currently participate in Backpack Buddies.

Meyers and Bruffey will work on permission letter

Where will it be located? Room 112 cabinets – locks will be added.

Next Steps – Complete form and set up time with LOR to come and set up cabinet. Clean out cabinets in room 112. Order baskets for clothing.

Check with LOR to see if KES can get a donation bin.

• Location? Conference room – Ask Carter to go through it and discard unnecessary items. Move needed materials to the cabinets in the cafeteria.
• Meyers will contact Lowcountry Orphan Relief to set up delivery.
• Talk to Robin about ordering baskets for socks, underwear, toiletries, and locks (bike lock or similar).
• Start date? TBD after being contacted.
• Advertising? Information will be shared with teachers only in staff messages, using the information sheet from LOR.

School Report Cards: KES rating is GOOD (down from Excellent).

Goals: Focus on student growth at the Student/Teacher/Grade Level/School levels.

• KES lost 12 points in student growth – this is the primary focus.
• New formula for report card data caused many schools to drop from previous levels.
• Only students receiving direct services from the ML teacher count towards scores. Previously, consult students helped to improve scores.
• Science skills affected overall scores due to new standards, a new test, and limited preparation materials.
